Our USA Swim Meet

OUR FIRST USA INVITATIONAL MEET!

We have been going to everyone else’s swim meet for a long time, now it’s time for everyone else to come to our meet! We think, by now, that many of us have a pretty good idea of what a USA meet is like, and, we’ve experienced good things, as well as bad things at a meet. A few of us have sat down and put our heads together, made some lists, and agreed that WE CAN DO THIS!

Teams host invitational meets to make money. It’s a good fundraiser. It takes planning, organizing, time and effort, and a lot of help from a lot of people. Unlike our Swim-a-thons where members bring in pledges themselves, this event can only succeed with teamwork. We’ll not only need members to volunteer their time at the meet, we’ll also need to collect many needed items from individuals and businesses.

Our USA Swim Meet Volunteers

We will need EVERYONE’S help.  Please sign up for volunteer positions below.  To sign up, please log in to the site first and then choose which role to volunteer for.  If you have not created your registration form online, choose Create new account on the left and provide the required information.  Descriptions of each position can be viewed by clicking on the position.  Thanks to everyone who has volunteered already!

Several signups from the pool sheet could not be added for some new participants because they have not signed up online.  Please create an account in order to volunteer and keep our records up to date.

Meet Director: Rick Zuccaro

Setup / Cleanup:  Everyone starting AM session at 6:15AM.
                              Everyone ending PM session at 4:30PM.

PLEASE DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!
Liz has form letters and donor forms for businesses who wish to donate products, services, or money. If any donations are valued at $250.00 or more, the business will be given a FULL-page advertising space in our program. Other pricing and ad space is available.  All other donors will be acknowledged in an alphabetical list of names and addresses in the program. Donations to the Flyers are tax deductible.

IF YOU OR A BUSINESS PLAN TO DONATE ANY ITEMS ON OUR LIST, PLEASE NOTIFY KATHY, CINDY, OR LIZ AHEAD OF TIME SO THEY CAN KEEP TRACK OF IT ALL!
ULTIMATELY, WE WOULD PREFER ITEMS BE BROUGHT TO THE GLENS FALLS HS CAFETERIA, SUNDAY MORNING.

Of course, we don’t want perishable foods until Saturday night or early Sunday, by 6:30AM.
